Supporting our local community during October 2020

First of all a big well done to everyone that donated food and toiletries on World Mental Health Day. Gordon Children’s Academy managed to fill 16 crates and a large trolley full of donations.

Miss Debnam and Mrs Youseman filled up the car (with help) to take all the donations to the warehouse. The Medway foodbank were delighted with our huge donation and the amount of support this can bring to our local community.  Kevin, the manager of the Medway Foodbank warehouse, said he would keep us updated with the total weight of our full donation. Please see the pictures below!

Thank you for your support on World Mental Health Day 2020 especially as this was an important one following the months of lockdown and the impact this this has had on us all.  That’s why this year Gordon Children’s Academy chose to support a local cause with our donations from #HelloYellow World Mental Health Day going to the Medway Foodbank. You can find out more information about the Medway Foodbank on their website: https://medway.foodbank.org.uk/
