Christmas at Gordon!

Christmas at Gordon!

Over the past couple of weeks, children at The Gordon Children’s Academy have been feeling very festive! Our pupils have been participating in a variety of Christmas activities, including our Christmas Fayre, delicious Christmas dinner and Christmas Jumper Day.

Our Christmas Fayre was a great success and enjoyed by all. Each year group contributed to the Fayre in their own ways, creating Christmas decorations and even making reindeer food. The children also enjoyed dressing up for Christmas Jumper Day, and it was a joy to see the range of funny and festive Christmas jumpers across the school.

We have also had a special guest at Gordon this term…the Gordon Kindness Christmas Elf! Our special visitor has been performing acts of kindness around the school, and our children have been eagerly waiting to see what he gets up to next.

Well done to our Year 1 and 2 pupils for their excellent Nativity performance, and to Years 3-6 who have been learning their own Christmas carols to perform to each other. Seeing the children perform with such confidence and enjoyment has been lovely.

As well as our whole school Christmas events, our pupils have been spreading Christmas joy in their classrooms too. Our corridors have become fabulously festive, as each class has decorated their classroom doors with fantastic Christmas designs.
