Extra-Curricular Clubs at Gordon Children’s Academy
At Gordon Children’s Academy, learning doesn’t end when the school bell rings. We’re proud to offer a vibrant and varied programme of extra-curricular clubs that give pupils the chance to explore new interests, develop skills, and enjoy time with friends in a fun and supportive environment.
These clubs are separate from our wraparound care, which you can learn more about here.
What’s on Offer?
Each term, we run a wide selection of clubs for pupils from Reception to Year 6. Some are led voluntarily by our passionate staff, while others are delivered by specialist external providers and may include a small fee.
Examples of free clubs we’ve previously offered include:
MFSE Sports Clubs
We work in partnership with MFSE to deliver high-quality sports clubs led by trained professionals. Booking information is shared with families at the start of each term. If you'd like to join mid-term, please contact MFSE directly at 07387 667546.
External Providers
To enrich our offer, we collaborate with external organisations who bring specialist expertise and exciting opportunities. These may include:
If your child is eligible for Pupil Premium and you're concerned about costs, please speak to Miss Bassett—we’re here to help and will do our best to support.
Booking & Availability
Club information is sent out via Arbor at the end of each term for the following term. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so early booking is encouraged.
We regularly review our club offerings based on pupil and parent feedback, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
Why Join a Club?
Extra-curricular clubs offer children the chance to:
We encourage every child to take part in at least one club each year—it’s a brilliant way to grow, connect, and shine.
